The years of experience and exposure to a variety of roles gives me a unique advantage in the real estate arena. My approach to buying and selling homes is well-rounded, hands-on, and forward-thinking. I’m always embracing new marketing ideas and techniques, a breath of fresh air in an industry that is slow to change. My marketing knowledge and experience has helped my team and I sell homes faster.

I’m excited to come onboard with BlackStream/Christie’s working in builder relations. I’ll be working to transform Builder & Realtor relations by streamlining the sales process for new homes and shortening the sales cycle. This new builder program would strengthen existing relationships with home builders by introducing a unique rewards & loyalty program. BlackStream has the tools that homebuilders throughout the Upstate need that gives them a competitive edge. We’ll be making new home buying more exciting for buyers and for the home builder.

I know that buying and selling real estate can be both exciting and intimidating, so I’m working hard to make a stressful process seamless and fun. I’m committed to being the very best at what I do and make it my personal goal to exceed expectations. I believe strongly in client education, arming you with information and up-to- date market insight that helps you make the best decisions possible. Knowing that my clients trust me enough to refer me to friends and family is the most gratifying part of his job.

I began my real estate career as a mortgage loan officer in the spring of 2001. I quickly gained a reputation for honesty and integrity and built a successful business on these values. As I rose through the ranks, I gained experience by managing many office locations in the Carolinas for one of the largest mortgage lenders in the country Guaranteed Rate Mortgage, and eventually opened my own mortgage company Blue Water Mortgage, utilizing the skills I learned as a young loan officer combined with the experience I had as an upper-level manager.

During this time, I developed an interest in marketing that ultimately became a passion. While the world of social media and online marketing were unfolding, I became particularly interested in in-bound marketing, and the rewards & loyalty space. I sold my mortgage company to pursue these interests which led me to a career with Cartera Commerce where I managed rewards and loyalty programs for a variety of Fortune 500 companies and medium-sized corporations, including major airlines and retailers.

Although my marketing career was rewarding, I missed the one-on- one relationships inherent in the mortgage industry. I missed seeing the smile on my clients faces when they purchased their first home or the satisfaction I got helping families save money by lowering their mortgage. Giving this a lot of thought, I know what I needed to do. I went back to my original core values, and knew my next step should be in real estate sales.
